Procurement Manager

We are currently seeking a Procurement Manager to join our manufacturing team in Griffith, NSW. In this role you will oversee the material and product procurement requirements of the A&G manufacturing team. Working alongside the Design, Sales and Production teams, you will use your experience in relationships, management and planning to ensure requirements are sourced on time and according to budget.

Duties and responsibilities

• Source and purchase items for manufacturing projects in line with project budget
• Manage relationships with key suppliers to maintain quality of goods, timely delivery, and compliance to terms for contracts determine the urgency of requirements, expedite material, and coordinate delivery.
• Interpret Bill of Materials information, source quotes and generate internal orders.
• Receive, check, and process purchase orders from domestic and overseas suppliers.
• Review goods to ensure quality conformance.
• Manage internal stock levels.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of ERP systems preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of manufacturing principles

• Flexible approach and ability to manage any change effectively.
• Building effective relationships at all levels
• Proven experience as a purchasing officer or equivalent combinations of education and experience that provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
